He was born, Mhlengi Nkonzo Mlotshwa , 19 March 1995 in Durban Eddington Hospital(Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa). Mhlengi Nkonzo was raised by his single mother, Miss B.L Mlotshwa and only got to know his father towards the year end of 2013. He changed his surname to his father's, Ndawonde in 2021.
He is matriculated with a Bachelor Degree at Qwabe Secondary School and his primary schooling was at A.M Moola Spes Nova a school for the disabled in Pheonix. Mhlengi is particially sighted.
